Jurick to meet with IU assistant today

I apologize for the absence of a Philip Jurick update in today’s paper after promising one. Due to space limitations it was edited out.

By telephone Sunday night, Jurick said he had been in close contact with the Hoosiers lately. In addition to talking to Kelvin Sampson last week, Jurick said IU assistant coach Rob Senderoff would be coming to Chattanooga today to visit with him.

“I’ve got it down to Tennessee and Indiana,” Jurick said. “Kentucky was there too, but then Tubby (Smith) left.”

Jurick said that he would like to make his college decision by the end of the summer and definitely before his senior season in the fall.

Although it’s no serious indication of where he will end up going to school, Jurick joined a Facebook group recently called “Indiana Basketball Fans.” The group features over 1,000 members including several current Hoosier players, Armon Bassett and Kellen Lewis to name a few.

  1. Thanks for the update Matt. Glad to know Jurick’s down to 2. Also, nice article in SI on Campus about IU. Keep up the good work!
