Hoosier Scoop favorite Chad Sutor has accepted an invitation to join Purdue as an invited walk-on. The 6-7 Bloomington South senior will play small forward for the Boilermakers.

We’re assuming our South beat writer, Rex Kirts, will have a full story on this later.

A boisterous comment-leaver on this blog once said that Sutor is a better player than many of the guys who played for Indiana last season.

Now, Sutor will get a chance to prove it.

In all seriousness, congrats to a local kid done good. He’ll be an intriguing little side story as the Purdue-Indiana rivalry reignites over the next few years.

  1. I wonder what his other choices were for schools whether that be walking on or scholarship. I wish him well, although I hope IU kicks his butt 2-3 times a year. Purdue is a program on the rise, with that solid class coming in this fall. IU will still have their number though.

    Go Hoosiers!

  2. Good for Chad. He was a dynamic player for South, I would not put him better than DJ white, but he would have had a real chance to beat out most the others for a starting job. He will earn a scholarship at Purdue

  3. Did he play against Butcher in the Edgewood game last year? I’m not questioning his ability, but doubt he is better than anyone on scholarship at IU

  4. Chad – way to go! We can’t wait to see your dad wearing black and gold.
