A weekend on an island in the sun

I’m booked on a 6 a.m. flight out of Indianapolis, bound for the Bahamas, on Friday morning.

We’re no longer the only paper planning to cover the Indiana basketball team’s foreign tour — Gannett is senI’d rather spend my island time in a gym, not this beach.ding C.L. Brown to represent both his paper, the superb Louisville Courier-Journal, and the Indy Star — but we’ll have comprehensive coverage including live game updates, daily podcasts, pictures and video. All of that’s free, by the way. You don’t need a subscription to access it.

You’ll be able to find links to all of it right here on the Scoop. There will be a special page of the blog where all of our Bahamas coverage is collected. So check back frequently.

And feel free to drop me any questions about the trip or the team in the comment section. I’ll try to answer them or get answers to them from the appropriate person.

  1. “…the superb Louisville Courier-Journal…”?

Bon voyage anyway. I’ll be looking forward to your updates.

  2. Thanks Chris. I’m looking forward to the coverage.
Can you tell us anything about these teams IU is playing?

  3. Karl Malone don’t care to much for the beach. Karl Malone like the mountain range, where Karl Malone can be on horseback and be a rancher.

  4. Why do you allow this “Karl Malone” person to continue to post? He/she does not contribute anything to the topics at hand, and is a waste of space!

  5. Dude, wasn’t the Jimmy Kimmel as Karl Malone thing like 8 years ago? How bout something inventive? We know you’re up for it.

  6. I wish I could have gone to the Bahamas, but my wife said no because I have already been there once this year. Besides, I don’t have anyone to pay my way.
