Hardy, Brown, Sexton, McClurg to play in opener

Here are some quick updates before I leave Memorial Stadium after this morning’s media photo day.

James Hardy said he will be back for Indiana’s Sept. 1 opener against Indiana State, despite a broken finger. He said nobody should worry about it because there’s no question about it.

Adam McClurg said he will not miss any games as a result of team punishment for him being arrested this summer on theft charges.

Greg Brown is expected to be back at practice within a week, defensive line coach Brian George said. Brown injured his left shoulder at practice Monday morning.

Nick Sexton said he expects to practice today. He said migraine headaches are the problem that held him out of practice yesterady.

I’ll give you more details and comments after I get back to the office and transcribe the players’ and coaches’ recorded comments.

  1. Great news. While I am happy we will have Adam McClurg for the entire season, I feel he should be suspended for at least 1 game for his actions, but that is the coaching staffs choise to make.
