First-half analysis

Like the rest of you, I’m still waiting for the Hoosiers to find a way to stop the run. If this doesn’t happen, Javon Ringer and the Spartans are just going to keep pounding away at IU. There is hope, however, with a few stops near the end of the half, but I don’t see Ringer getting slowed any time soon.

We’ll have to wait and see. Lewis’s burst in the first quarter was encouraging, as was the deep ball Hardy grabbed in the second, but other than that, nothing too special. Michigan State is controlling the clock and controlling the game.

IU needs to get a good start on their first drive of the half to salvage some momentum. We’ll see.
