It’s Senior Day at Bill Armstrong Stadium, and Greg Stevning and Charley Traylor are in the starting lineup as usual. The only other senior on the roster, backup GK Chris Munroe, is not.

Darren Yeagle earned his second start of the season at forward. Yeagle is a redshirt sophomore.

Second Half:
Greg Stevning came back out to start the second half after going down with what looked like a leg injury in the first half.

40:04 GOAL! Brad Ring breaks free of the defense and sprints upfield, getting a roller to slip by GK Conrad Taylor. Hoosiers lead, 1-0. It’s Ring’s fourth goal of the season and gives him 11 points on the year.

37:01 Treavor Gelsinger nearly ties the game moments later, but his roller shot that had Hoosier GK Chay Cain Cain bounces harmlessly off the post. Penn State midfielder Frank Costigliola had a follow up chance, but he booted the ball over the goal.

28:40 Stevning unleashes a rocket shot from about 15 yards out, but Taylor makes the save. The ball ricochets off him and Hoosier MF Daniel Kelly gets a try, but it’s a no-go.

18:20 Ring tries for two on a long shot, but it is scooped up easily by Taylor. Right after, Eric Alexander leaves the field after getting shaken up at midfield. In comes Billy Weaver, the third injury substitution for the Hoosiers.

15:30 Nittany Lions MF Daniel Martini has a decent look, but his roller shot is wide right.

2:15 Kevin Noschang displays some filthy moves on the right wing, running circles around the Penn State defenders after some fancy footwork. He frees himself for a terrific cross, but Weaver, who is in position, cannot connect with the running header try.

GAME OVER…Hoosiers win, 1-0

First Half:

37:55 Kevin Noschang had a good look on a superb cross by Yeagle, but the attempt is broken up near the net.

31:23 Play is halted as Stevning takes a hit near the Indiana goal. He was helped off the field by two trainers and appeared to be favoring his left leg. Lee Hagedorn replaced him on the pitch.

23:35 Noschang gets a header shot after a battle for the ball in the Penn State goal box, but it is just a tad high and lands softly on the top of the net.

Nittany Lions defender Stephen Reihner is often moving up to attack when his team has the ball. He is considerably swift of foot, so he sets up on the right wing and feeds his forwards and midfielders.

18:15 Kevin Alston on the left wing is found open by Yeagle, and with just one man to beat, Alston sends a shot too hard towards the goal, and it flies way over the top.

16:00 Yeagle is taken down hard by freshman Andres Casais, who is warned by the official.

13:35 Casey Derkacz gets the best opportunity so far for Penn State on a shot from the left top of the 18, but it sails high.

11:45 Indiana was in danger, but defender Ofori Sarkodie makes a sliding stop on a shot in the box to help out GK Chay Cain.

4:36 Play stops agains as Yeagle is down once more. He leaves also, but on his own power. Andy Adlard is on in his stead. Another true freshman, Michael Roach, entered the contest a few minutes ago as a sub.

2:20 Neil Wilmarth has a golden opportunity to grab the lead on a ball that bounces over keeper Conrad Taylor’s head and towards the goal, but Wilmarth in his haste to put it home ahead of a chasing defender kicks it over the crossbar.
