Your Sunday morning remedy: a basketball game against Longwood

Kirkwood was alive last night with lines flowing out of the bars. On the porches of the houses near campus, shouts rang out of
“Hoo Hoo Hoo…Hoosiers!” Complete strangers hugged in the streets, yelling “Bowl game! Bowl game! Bowl game!”

Now, less than 12 hours later. The hearty Indiana fans have gathered to cap off an historic weekend with a basketball game against . . . . Longwood.

So the opponent has no cachet. Indiana fans won’t miss a chance to see Eric Gordon play in Assembly Hall (they’ll be left with just 17 after today). They’ll also be watching to see if Indiana can improve on defense after giving up 50 points to Chattanooga.
