Michigan State at Indiana, in-game analysis (2nd half)

As the flags make their appearance, all that’s left for Indiana is to finish this one off.  It is no longer in doubt.

The Spartans have turned the ball over 17 times. The seemed to lose all concentration after the initial run and now look entirely like a team capable of losing to a Penn State that didn’t have its best player.

But the real story here is the Hoosiers coming together. Of DeAndre Thomas stepping up. And Kyle Taber. And Mike White. It’s about Eric Gorodn taking over with his burst to the basket and desire. It’s Jordan Crawford, calmly hitting shots from deep and deftly working under the basket to get his layups to go off the glass and in.

A source has just informed the H-T that doctor’s won’t know what is wrong with D.J. White’s left leg until tomorrow.

INDIANA 52, MSU 39 (16:02)

Eric Gordon.

He’s got 20. DeAndre Thomas has 10.

Looks like D.J. White won’t return. He has just limped slowly out of the locker room.

D.J. White has not rejoined the Hoosiers.

  1. D.J. looked from here to have a bag of ice on his left knee as he limped out. Others who saw a replay on TV are saying they think it’s a knee injury.

  2. maybe its just luck being on our side tonight, for once. but eric gordon seems to be growing up before our eyes tonight.

  4. Great game– Despite all this nonsense going on outside the game, these young men have a shot at the big ten! Congrats!!

  5. I’m from the old school guys .Coach and the AD will have to go.The rules, we do not always agree with, but they are the rules; that is what binds us and sets us apart. Take all of the wins and championships and great coaches away, what set Indiana apart was the rules. Winning within the rules.A great win for Indiana.I never thought I would ever say this a sad week for INDIANA UNIVERSITY Basketball!!
