Reaction from around the country

As I type this, Google News tells me that there are 2,732 stories that contain the words “Kelvin Sampson” splattered across the Internet right now.

Though I do not know for sure because I generally do not surf Google News at 2 a.m. after a game, I would say that is a high count.

Here’s the amazing thing: if it weren’t for a watershed day in the biggest sporting scandal of our time — performance-enhancing drugs in baseball — there’d be even more people writing about Kelvin Sampson.

  1. If nothing else, Sampson should be fired for being stupid, but last I looked that’s not grounds for dismissal.

    If that were the case, Greenspan would have been fired long ago.
