Kentucky at Indiana soccer

It’s all over, and Indiana goes scoreless for the final 109:54 of this one for the tie. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

Indiana came out guns blazing, but couldn’t push in the game-winner, then survived a couple Kentucky scares in the final two minutes of OT. We have 10 more golden goal minutes to decide this one. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

Indiana plays its best soccer of the night in the final 10-plus minutes, but couldn’t crack the Kentucky defense. Kevin Alston volley to the near post was blocked by a Kentucky defender with 3 seconds left to force overtime. IU is 3-0-2 in overtime this season. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

No change on the scoreboard as of yet, Daniel Kelly is in for Kevin Noschang to team with Neil Wilmarth at forward. Hoosiers need a spark offensively, but mostly they need to quit giving the ball away in the midfield. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

Kentucky’s getting the better chances to start the second half although Noschang nearly had his second goal of the game when he got behind the Wildcats, but his shot was deflected just wide by the UK goalkeeper. Now Kentucky’s leading scorer, Michael Strong, is in the game after sitting out the start with a tight hamstring. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

After a strong start, Indiana seemed to let off the gas and Kentucky is right in this game. Hoosiers just haven’t looked sharp with their passing and decision-making, and of course, that has cost them one goal so far. IU will need an improved second-half performance to keep this winning streak going.

Daniel Kelly and Brad Ring were not in the IU starting lineup with Noschang in Kelly’s spot up top, and Lee Hagedorn pushes up to midfield replacing Ring with Tommy Meyer in the back. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

Whatever momentum IU gained from that early goal is gone now. Kentucky ties it up, scoring on a 2-on-1 after a failed clear. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 1

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new Indiana record. Kevin Noschang scores just six seconds, breaking the previous record off 11 seconds set by Daniel Kelly earlier this season against Butler. Off the opening kick, Andy Adlard played a long ball that hit off the back off Kentucky defender Tim Muessig as the goalkeeper was coming out for the ball, and Noschang one-timed the ball into the open net. HOOSIERS 1, WILDCATS 0

The Hoosiers host the Wildcats in their final non-conference game of the season. Like Indiana, Kentucky is 9-4-2. UK is coming off a 3-2 double overtime victory against Florida International, while IU is riding a three-game winning streak. Updates will follo.

  1. If you have been having no problems UGG Classic Short in running or racing, it would be hard to recommend a change of shoe. It is difficult, if not impossible to improve Classic Short Boots upon a situation in which all is going great. I would advise getting a few pairs of what seem to be your Classic Short ugg boots favorite shoes before the manufacturer changes the shoe. Historically unannounced changes are often made by manufacturers. This can vary from a subtle change in the cushioning around the heel to a major Classic Short uggs structural midsole change. Manufacturers have discontinued a model of shoe, only to resume production a few years later ugg 5825 with a line of shoes boasting the same name, but with completely different characteristics
