More free time for Wittman

Just over a week ago, Randy Wittman was at Assembly Hall, watching his son, Ryan, play for Cornell against Indiana. The elder Wittman was lamenting  how his busy schedule as coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves kept him from seeing more games.

Now he’ll have that free time. Wittman was fired Monday as coach of the Timberwolves after starting the NBA season 4-15.  Wittman was just 38-105 since taking over as head coach in January of 2007.

  1. Maybe there’s a spot for him on the IU bench or in the office. It’s always good to have an Alum around with NBA experience.
