  1. When will Daniel Moore learn not to ALWAYS dribble it all the way to the baseline? Crap, this time he practically dribbled all the way into the tunnel before he stopped. By that time, it was too late.

  2. FINAL: IOWA 65, IU 60.
IU: Williams 14 pts, 5 reb; Dumes 12 pts, 7 reb; Pritchard 11 pts; Roth 7 pts; Story 6 pts; Jones 6 pts; Taber 4 pts, 5 reb.
    IU: 19-44 (43%) FG; 5-13 (39%) 3PT; 17-22 (77%) FT; 27 reb; 11 TO; 14 (25) fouls.
    IOWA: 20-43 (47%) FG; 5-14 (36%) 3PT; 20-27 (74%) FT; 27 reb; 10 TO; 12 (21) fouls.
IOWA: Tate 22 pts, 11 reb, 10-11 FT; Peterson 16 pts, 5 ast; Kelly 10 pts; Davis 9 pts, 8 reb; Gatens 6 pts; Brommer 2 pt.

  3. good effort, moore really should not be on the court anymore after today though yuck. Go colts! oh and FIRE LYNCH. happy holidays.

  4. I was thrilled to see the team play to their potential. It was completely different today. If they play this way last week, they win both games. I actually like Moore but now maybe some will see he is not the answer. Several blogs back, many were singing his praises but he really has NO business out there until he gets himself under control.

  5. I liked the player rotation better today. I don’t think it’s coincidence that we were in the game with a lot fewer turnovers and Moore’s playing time was down to 11 minutes. He should really only be in there so Jones can catch his breath. Actually, I’d rather have Fink take those minutes because he plays better defense than Moore.

  6. Did we really play a full big ten game with only 11 turnovers? I guess there is hope? I thought so.

In Moore’s defense, IU ran the play for Roth in the corner (off DM’s baseline dribble) against Lipscomb into the ground and then tried it on the last play again today. Lickliter was ready for it. Give him credit.

I still am very happy with our effort and there was improvement in several areas. Nick Williams and Devan D played some of their best ball so far today.

The guys will continue to improve, and they will win some games. All this speculation about O for BigTen is unfair to them.

  7. I agree with KevinK. Best effort to date. Great contributions from Dumes and Williams. If these two continue as they did with Iowa Saturday IU will be just fine in the future. Now if that computes to wins is still the question mark. As I watch IU I think how will this play continue into next year? How will the addition of more height & talent compute toward more wins next year?

  8. Not only does Moore bolt for the baseline, he usually does it while staring at the floor.

I just hope a couple of the Peegsters aren’t over here; one of them thinks Daniel Moore is a really good looking young man.

I do agree though, Kevin, that it was easy to defend that after the last game. Still should have been able to get a shot off somehow.

Good overall effort. Not to be a downer, but I think it also shows how bad Iowa is and it wasn’t the most hostile environment yesterday. Regardless, a great effort, but I dunno how many other Big Ten road games will be this good.

  9. Moore needs to sit down, JOnes has to develop as the point guy the rest of the year until Halls comes in
