A couple of recruiting notes

  • Kyrie Irving, Indiana’s top target in the class of 2010, Tweeted last night that his in-home visit with Indiana went “really well.” Totally splitting hairs here, but he earlier Tweeted that his in-home visits with Duke and Kentucky went “great.”
  • Duke and Kentucky will also have or have had in-home visits with Florida point guard Brandon Knight, Adam Zagoria is reporting. Knight is Rivals.com’s No. 1 player in the country for 2010 and is not expected to make a decision until the Spring.
  • Stacey Poole told Phil Kornblut of the Spartanburg (S.C.) Herald-Journal that Kentucky, South Carolina and Clemson are now his top three, and he is no longer considering Indiana.

  1. If that’s splitting hairs than call me Elmer Fudd, because I’ve been wringing my hands over his disparate adjectives all day.

Fear not though, Hugh, the optimist in me says he’s simply holding his cards closer to his vest these days after he ruffled some feathers when he previously said Indiana was his leader after his visit to the spring Elite camp. I believe he’s an extremely intelligent kid who deliberate chose those descriptors out of respect for the schools pursuing him. Plus, it’s gotta keep Crean HUNGRY & HUMBLE!!!
