Depth chart stays same

Usually this goes up earlier, but I didn’t get back into town until this evening and couldn’t open the notes attachment on my laptop. Regardless, here’s IU’s depth chart, which looks about the exact same as it did a week ago. Despite missing Saturday’s game with an ankle injury plus rib problems, redshirt freshman tailback Darius Willis is still listed as the starter.

  1. At what point do you stop wasting your resources on the sham that is IU football? Clearly the team is going nowhere fast. Might as well tell us how the intramurals are going….

  2. I coach basketball. If this was my team after that horrible game some of the starters would not start the next game. A few minutes
on the pine some times help the starters get the message. If i am wrong let me know? I see this and I think he has stopped coaching.
Let someone who cares about this team, these players, and IU coach. If IU wants to wait until the end of the season to fire Lynch
fine, but give one of his assistant a chance and set Lynch on the pine. NOW!!!

  3. ronb,

I think the issue is more about ability and talent than it is about Lynch not caring.

You can make the argument that he’s simply not qualified and not a good enough coach, but I think it’s foolish to claim that Lynch doesn’t care about his team.

If he didn’t I don’t think he’d be the head coach.

  4. Casey, you may be right. Maybe he just is in over his head and he
really does not know what to do. Actions are reality and making
no line up changes makes it appear that he just has given up.

  5. Understandable.

I think he’s just the type of person that sticks to his guns — regardless of how well it serves him.

In our team’s case, that translates to not making necessary adjustments. I think he cares, but yes, I think he’s in over his head.
