Help Hep fight cancer, get yourself more buff

This will be cool. I’ve heard the Force Fitness dudes work wonders, as photographer Chris Howell is a client of theirs. And he lifts a lot of very heavy cameras.

Here’s a press release with all of the details.

Coach Hep Cancer Challenge Organizes Community Boot Camp Fundraiser

Fundraiser Partners with Force Fitness, IU Athletics to Benefit Cancer Research

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Coach Hep Indiana Cancer Challenge, which raises money for the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center and the Olcott Center for Cancer Education in memory of former IU football coach Terry Hoeppner, is teaming up with Bloomington-based Force Fitness to hold the Coach Hep Cancer Challenge Boot Camp Fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 15 at Mellencamp Pavilion on the IU campus.

All participants will receive a Boot Camp T-shirt, two tickets to the IU women’s basketball game against IUPUI that afternoon, and $10 off registration for the May 1, 2010 Coach Hep Indiana Cancer Challenge. Registration for the Boot Camp is $15.

“The Coach Hep Cancer Challenge Boot Camp Fundraiser will be a fun way for the community to come together to continue to help raise money for the fight against cancer, walk away with a helpful workout routine and support the IU Women’s basketball team,” said Jane Hoeppner, wife of late football coach Terry Hoeppner.

On-site registration will take place from 7 to 8 a.m. in the Mellencamp Pavilion on the day of the fundraiser. The Boot Camp workout begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 15-minute cool-down period.

After the Boot Camp workout, participants will have a chance to talk with Ryan Ketchum, Force Fitness trainer and Boot Camp director and ask him questions about fitness, nutrition and helpful ways to stay in shape during the winter months.

“The Boot Camp fundraiser is going to be a fun and challenging workout for everyone that comes out,” Ketchum said. “Hopefully we can show Bloomington a little bit about the ‘Don’t Quit’ attitude Coach Hep lived and we try to instill with all of our boot campers.”

Following the IU women’s basketball game that afternoon, boot camp participants will have the opportunity to meet Coach Jack and the IU women’s basketball team.
