Sorry Tom, but Puerto Rico is not a foreign country. It’s a U.S. Territory. But, in the spirit of a good laugh, here is Bruce Springsteen’s “Across the Border.”

  1. Just a small favor..

Many, many years ago when I was in college diapers at Foster Quad, I had the fortunate experience of having two of the biggest rednecks from some extreme southern point in Indiana occupy the room adjoining my dorm. From 7:00p.m. until 4:00a.m every friggin’ night they primarily concentrated all existence into two tasks…Task #1: Smoking as much pot as humanly possible…Task #2: Driving a pipsqueak freshman kid from another country(northern Indiana) completely bonkers by blaring Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” 50 times a night with pair of Pioneer thruster speakers rivaling the size of bunk bed purposely reverse oriented against concrete block wall for the sole purpose to echo my brain into total “tramps like us!” madness ….

Welcome to my hell. Please..No more Springsteen!

  2. Just got word the student section has gotten increased to 15000. This must me Fred’s $50 dollar tickets arent selling

  3. They ain’t Fred’s $50 tickets…tickets for the bucket game have always been a little more pricey. Simple principles of supply-and-demand (and yes, there IS demand for tickets to this game…not quite to the level of something like UM-OSU, but still pretty high).

I find it amazing that nearly a quarter of the stadium is being allocated to students…good stuff.

  4. What increasing the size of the student section tells me enthusiasm has been stirred up in the young fans for the Bucket game. The crazier the excitement and louder the better. A win would help to carry it over to next year.

  5. Fair warning to all: The Bucket Game is on a BTN overflow channel this weekend, with Wisconsin-Northwestern on the main channel. Either go to a bar or buy yourself a ticket to the game, depending on how your TV provider deals with the overflows.

  6. Most people who have the BTN should get the overflow channels. They are just hard to find. Go to the BTN’s website and they have a channel locator to do so.

But, you should just go to the game.

  7. Sorry that Ray Fisher won’t be able to play…he was having a great season at CB and has a real chance to get drafted into the NFL if he has healed physically.
