  1. Why BJ Young? I know he has talent, but the kid is trouble. Very selfish on the court, kicked out of school, Very poor grades……What gives?

  2. He must be very little trouble or his transgressions would be public. He must respect his parents and their opinions as he wants them along for his visit to IU. He has expressed his interest in Coaches McClain, Crean and the IU program. People with better vision believe he can change. If he wants to be a Hoosier I would view him as low risk.

  3. From the NBA top 100 article (in case you didn’t scroll down past Etherington):
“B.J. Young, 6-3 rising senior combo guard, McCluer North (MO): A fast-rising scorer from St. Louis, the jet-quick scorer made plays on both ends, seemingly got to the bucket at will, capably set up his teammates, kept defenders honest with his outside J and was a vocal presence on the court.”

He doesn’t sound as selfish as you make him out to be 4g, and the article seems to give him credit for some leadership/energy. He sounds like a better version of JDavis. However, like you, I have reservations about whatever off-the-court transgression may have taken place, but CTC hasn’t nabbed a player that has serious–if any–question marks in the real world.

  4. According to Evan Daniels, BJ Young clearly isn’t a fan of passing the rock.
    E. Bossi: plays in a bit of a tunnel and misses open teammates.

  5. I’ll believe what was said about Young by the NBA Top 100 report long before the bugling of Bossi or Daniels .
