Depth chart released

Indiana released it’s game notes on Monday morning, which means the first official depth chart of the season. Not a lot of surprises, but Aaron Price is listed as the starter at left guard. Price and Damisch were the guards since the opening of camp, though for some reason I always suspected Pagan and Faulkner would win at least one of the jobs between them. Didn’t happen. Also, Kofi Hughes is the only freshman on the two-deep. Richard Council and Matt Ernest are listed as the starting cornerbacks and Nick Freeland is listed as the starting kicker.

The full depth chart follows:

  1. saw him around the mall last Friday night and he looked fine to me!!! Seriously though, I wonder how you would pull your groin going half speed and a stomach muscle, what??? IU should be OK without him this week and I hope he gets well quickly!

  2. He took a hit in 11 on 11 about a week ago that apparently caused an interesting reaction. I didn’t get a good look at it, and I’m not totally sure where he got it, but I interviewed him after that for a story and he was still trying to recover. He has 16 days to recover after Towson, so I’d think he’d be fine for the rest of the year.

  3. A near-full season of Tandon Doss is crucial for the team and for the fans. He has incredible hands and makes Sportcenter top 10 catches almost on a weekly basis.

    Let’s hope for the best!!!

  4. I was hoping to see Matt Perez in the mix a RB. I think he can help right away as well as develop quicker.

  5. Jerry,
He’s not that far out. He had a very good fall camp. He was right on the brink. But he’s not beating out Willis, Burgess or Turner yet, so you don’t want him to burn his redshirt.

  6. I know a player who applies for a medical redshirt can have played 3 games and still be granted the redshirt. Does the same apply for a freshmen redshirt? I am hoping to get a ” preview” of some of our good freshmen before they are redshirted. Thanks

  7. One play and a freshman burns his redshirt UNLESS he gets injured, then they might get the medical redshirt.
