Rivals.com: Zeller and Young in Top 20; Etherington still unranked

Rivals.com came out with it’s post-summer Top-150 list for the Class of 2011 shortly after Scout.com released its.

Players of Indiana interest were in mostly the same positions. However, verbally committed guard Austin Etherington did not crack the Top 150 despite a strong summer performance, especially at the Adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas.

IU target Cody Zeller saw a rise in his position, however, vaulting to No. 20 from No. 35, where he was ranked earlier this summer. St. Louis guard B.J. Young, another IU target, is now ranked No. 18 in the class.

IU guard Jeremiah Rivers younger brother Austin is the No. 1 rated player in the class. Pike point guard and Kentucky commitment Marquis Teague is ranked No. 3. Michigan State commitment Branden Dawson, from Gary’s Lew Wallace High School, is No. 13. Former IU recruit Aaron Thomas is ranked No. 49. Bloomington South point guard Darwin Davis, a Xavier commitment, is No. 120 and Jeremiah Davis, who is transferring from Muncie Central, is No. 123.

  1. But how can Rivals rank J Davis #123 and Donnie Hale #144 and NOT rank Austin Etherington at all??

  2. BeatPurdue, The only answer is Rivals blew it. I doubt they put him in a plan to evaluate him.
