Johnson, Drane, Freeland out for Western Kentucky game

Indiana defensive end Darius Johnson’s hamstring apparently never healed, nor did kicker Nick Freeland’s hip. Safety Jarrell Drane also apparently injured his knee, and the Hoosiers will be without three players for Saturday’s game against Western Kentucky.

All three players were listed as “out” on Indiana’s injury report, released Thursday evening. The other two players on the out list are safety Chris Adkins and running back Matt Perez, who is out for the season with an ACL tear.

Several other injured players are listed as probable. The injury report follows.

Chris Adkins, S Ankle Out
Jarrell Drane, S Knee Out
Nick Freeland, K Hip Out
Darius Johnson, DE Hamstring Out
Matt Perez, RB ACL Out for season
Kevin Bush, DE Neck Probable
Max Dedmond, TE Knee Probable
Tandon Doss, WR Groin Probable
Andre Kates, CB Hip Probable
Dre Muhammad, WR Ankle Probable
