Perez out indefinitely

Indiana football coach Bill Lynch said freshman running back Matt Perez hasn’t had his knee evaluated yet after injuring it in Tuesday’s practice, but one thing is still obvious.

“He’s going to be out for a while,” Lynch said. “It’s hard to say until the doctors have a chance to evaluate him. We’ll know more when we get the results, it will probably be the first of the week, but he’s going to be out for a while.”

Perez was expected to redshirt this season anyway, but an extended injury would obviously limit the value of the year with the program. The 5-foot-11, 225-pounder had an impressive preseason camp after rushing for 2,246 yards and 34 touchdowns as a senior at Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Ill.

In positive injury news, junior wide receiver Dre Muhammad returned to practice Wednesday after missing about two weeks with an ankle injury. Junior wide receiver Tandon Doss (groin) is still out, but is expected to return to practice Monday, which would put the receiving corps close to full strength.

  1. Oh good, thanks. I was wondering where I could purchase some affordable UGG boots.

They’re the perfect way to make it look like two dead possums are hanging from my legs without actually having to harm any animals.

    Spellcheck is not enough.
