Turner, Dedmond named game captains

From IU Sports Info:

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Head Football Coach Bill Lynch announced that fifth-year senior wide receiver Terrance Turner and junior tight end Max Dedmond will serve as game captains for Saturday’s contest against No. 19 Michigan. They will join season captains Tyler Replogle and Ben Chappell for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff against the Wolverines.

Chappell and Replogle were elected season captains by their teammates during the preseason, and the team’s Leadership Council will vote on two other game captains each week to join them. For Turner, it is his third selection as a game captain in four contests, while Dedmond is serving as a game captain for the first time.

Entering their 111th season of Big Ten football with a perfect 3-0 mark, the Hoosiers open conference play against the Wolverines (4-0) for the second straight year. The teams will meet at Memorial Stadium (52,929) and the game will be televised on ESPNU.

Pam Ward will handle play-by-play duties and she will be joined by analyst Danny Kanell. The game can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Buck Suhr (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the call.

IU is looking for its sixth 4-0 start in school history and its first since 1990. Indiana is also looking for its first victory over Michigan since 1987 and its first conference-opening win since 2001 (at Wisconsin).
