1. COACHING SEARCH – DAY 8

Sources continue to suggest Indiana and Kevin Wilson are very far along in the process, but the Oklahoma offensive coordinator did a song-and-dance on Saturday when asked about it, Dustin wrote.

As of this morning, there were no flights scheduled to Monroe County Airport.

In news with other candidates, Brady Hoke is getting a new contract at San Diego State, the San Diego Union-Tribune’s Brent Schrotenboer wrote. And Jerry Kill is leaving Northern Illinois for the head coaching job at Minnesota, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune’s Phil Miller wrote.

2. WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WITH A BIG WIN

Indiana defeated No. 24 Nebraska, which came in with a 37-game regular-season winning streak, on Sunday, thanks to a solid zone defense and a balanced scoring attack, I wrote.

Indiana played to its strengths, the IDS’ Avi Zaleon wrote.

3. MEN’S BASKETBALL

In the Q&A, I wrote about Bobby Capobianco, Tom Pritchard and the outlook for Kentucky.

Going to Victor Oladipo and asking him to give the team a lift has almost always worked so far this season, the IDS’ Nathan Hart wrote.

  1. There is an ESPN report out that Stanford has offered Harbaugh a new contract to keep him put in case the NFL or Michigan comes calling.

  2. Ok so Trey Lyles had 29 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals against Lawarence Central. This kid is going to be a beast!

  3. According to Hugh’s twitter, there is a plane on it’s way back from Norman, OK right now. It left Indy this morning, was on the ground less than an hour before heading back.
