Host of commits named to all-state

Of the seven in-state prospects Indiana has verbal commitments from in the class of 2011, six were named first-team AP all-state in their respective classes.

Lawrence Central QB Tre Roberson, Bloomington North RB D’Angelo Roberts, Columbus North DE Jake Reed and Center Grove DB Nick Stoner were on the 5A team. So was Gary Harris, the dual-sport start at Hamilton Southeastern that is a top target for the men’s basketball program.

In 4A, it Cathedral LB Kyle Kennedy representing the Hoosiers and Fort Wayne Luers DB Kenny Mullen was on the 2A team.

The lone omission was Ralston Evans, the offensive lineman from Indanapolis Arlington.
