Vote for top 10 IU sports stories of 2010

With the year winding to a close, we’ve put together a top 10 list of the Indiana University sports stories of the year.

The H-T sports staff has made its picks, and it’s schedule to run in the Dec. 26 paper. The top two stories involve basketball and football, but not necessarily in that order.

You can cast your votes for your top 10 list in an online ballot here.

  1. “IU wins Old Oaken Bucket” should be an option. Yes, I know I can write it in (I did, as did a few others) but that should in the top 3 stories of the year.

  2. The 83-20 loss at Wisconsin also was considered with the Old Oaken Bucket win as individual stories, but once Lynch was fired, we wrapped the entire season under the Lynch fired/Wilson hired blanket.

  3. A great season for IU women’s swimming. Kate Fesenko wins first NCAA individual title ever (backstroke) for an IU women and the team takes its third Big Ten championship in four seasons.
