Doss picks agent

Indiana junior wide receiver Tandon Doss, who announced earlier this week that he would be leaving IU for the NFL Draft, tweeted on Sunday afternoon that he has selected an agent.

He said later on Sunday that the agent is Jared Fox of the Sports Stars agency. Fox represented IU graduates Rodger Saffold and Jammie Kirlew in last year’s draft. Kirlew was taken in the seventh round and Saffold rose from being a late-round projection in November to being selected as the first pick of the draft’s second round by the St. Louis Rams.

Fox will also represent senior right tackle James Brewer.

“I felt like that was the best fit for me,” Doss said. “I feel like they do the most to get you the most money.”

Like Saffold and Kirlew, Doss said he will be training for the NFL Combine at the IMG Academy in Orlando, Fla.

“The facilities are great,” he said. “I don’t think there’s any place better than that.”

  1. Fox has got 4 Hoosiers in 2 years to sign on? With all the stories about agents this past year, I hope AD Glass is looking at this guy through a microscope and making sure he is on the up & up!

  2. Good luck to TD. He could end up being the best WR to come out of IU (not that that says a lot).

  3. C’mon, Washington Apple, IU’s had a lot of great NFL receivers. Pete Pihos (Eagles) is in College and NFL Hall of Fames. And don’t forget Ernie Jones with the Cardinals, Thomas Lewis with the Giants and, uh, uh, I see your point.
