IU women beaten by Buckeyes

Quick update on the Indiana women’s team, which entered the night in a three-way tie for first in the Big Ten at 2-0.

The Hoosiers suffered their first loss of the conference season Wednesday as No. 20 Ohio State evened its league mark at 1-1. The Buckeyes used a pair of big runs to win this game, pulling away with a 16-4 run to close the first half and take a 32-19 lead at the half, then after IU got within 10 with 7:36 remaining, a 13-0 run shut the door. The final margin was 85-67.

Whitney Lindsay had a career-high 20 points for IU, Jori Davis scored 21 and Georgie Jones pulled down 14 rebounds, but Ohio State shot 47.6 percent from the field with Jantel Lavender posting 22 points and 22 rebounds.
