NCAA considering deregulation of texts and e-mails.

According to this NCAA release, the Division I Recruiting and Athletics Personnel Issues Cabinet has issued a proposal that would somewhat deregulate the use of text messaging and e-mail to contact prospects. Coaches would be able to use those forms of communication for recruiting at the same time they are allowed to begin calling recruits.

The release said the proposal is up for consideration by the membership, but it does not say when it might be up for a vote.
