  1. Past Years Lynch + assistants = money paid for salaries results in 83 to whatever score.

This year Wilson + assistants = money paid for salaries results in 59 to 7 score……..WHAT A DEAL!!!

  2. If in 3 years this happens with Wilson’s recruits, I’ll agree with T. Right now, Wilson has Lynch’s recruits (Remember–Lynch was only semi-successful with DiNardo’s and Hoepner’s players) and he can only put on the field what he has. Coaching schemes only go so far when you don’t have the talent to carry them out. As Dave Feldman, Horse Racing writer for the Chicago Sun Times years ago used to say, “I’ve never seen a jockey carry a horse over the Finish Line.” Same goes with coaches and players. Coaches can only give players the opportunity to achieve, the players have to actually do it.

  3. IUlongago…….understand all that…..I was simply referring to price/cost….how much one staff salaried up vs. the other.

  4. t; football coaching staffs are not commodities. And it’s not like your taxes have been increased to pay for Wilson and his staff. It’s inane to attempt a cost/benefit ratio between the former coaching staff and the new staff. The investment must be measured over many years. If Wilson is 1 and 11 four years from now, you may have a case.

Wilson and staff are not even being compensated at the Midpoint of Big Ten FB compensation. The only hope for IU football was to hire a competent coach that has the attributes necessary to build a successful program. That takes money and time.

  5. Im impressed, I ought to say. Incredibly rarely do I come across a blog thats each informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, youve hit the nail on the head. Your blog is essential; the issue is some thing that not adequate individuals are talking intelligently about. Im genuinely pleased that I stumbled across this in my search for one thing relating to this problem.

  6. Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he actually bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “England and America are two countries separated by the same language.” by George Bernard Shaw.
