IU gets three votes in coaches poll

Wins over Butler and Gardner-Webb helped Indiana pick up two more points in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll, but the Hoosiers still don’t have a vote in the Associated Press poll. Also, North Carolina’s loss to UNLV on Saturday night helped Kentucky move up to No. 1 in both polls. To maintain that ranking for their Dec. 10 game at Indiana, the Wildcats have to beat both St. John’s and North Carolina. If Kentucky is No. 1 in that game, it would be the first time Indiana has played the No. 1 team in the nation since the Hoosiers played Connecticut on Feb. 4, 2006.
