CLOSE THE GAP CROSSROADS CLASSIC SOLD OUT FOR SATURDAY AT CONSECO FIELDHOUSEINDIANAPOLIS – The first annual Close The Gap Crossroads Classic college basketball doubleheader, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17 at Conseco Fieldhouse, is officially a sellout. The two-game slate features four in-state schools in the first of a two-year agreement, with both games carried on national television.

Game 1 of the doubleheader matches perennial Big Ten Conference power Purdue (9-2) against two-time national finalist Butler (4-6). The game airs live on CBS beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Ian Eagle and Bill Raftery calling the action.

Game 2 features unbeaten Indiana (9-0) against Notre Dame (7-4) in a live telecast on ESPN, featuring the Hoosiers in their first contest since upsetting No. 1-ranked Kentucky, 73-72, last Saturday. Dan Shulman and Dick Vitale call the play-by-play. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Doors open to the public at 1:00 p.m.

  1. I’m kind of raising an eyebrow to Dan and Dick calling the game again. I understand it’s on ESPN2, but i don’t know. Go Hoosiers!

  2. I was going to buy tickets months ago, but never did because you had to buy both games. I don’t give a flying &*%$ about Game 1, so I didn’t. They should space the games out maybe 3 hours or so and sell separate tickets.
