Anya tells ITH, Rivals “I think I want” to take a visit to IU

At the Nike Global Challenge in Washington, D.C., BeeJay Anya was 10 hours away from most of the Indiana beat media, but that didn’t mean he could escape it. Greg Rosenstein of Inside the Hall and Jeff Rabjohns of were there and asked the 6-foot-9, 275-pound DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.) center about the state of his recruiting and the status of Indiana within that.

Anya, who is quite obviously Indiana’s top remaining priority in the Class of 2013 told Rosenstein and Rabjohns that he is “very interested” in Indiana and that he thinks he wants to take an official visit to Bloomington. It wasn’t exactly an iron-clad statement, but it at least appears to bode well for the Hoosiers. He also said that it helps that former DeMatha teammate Victor Oladipo is already at IU and that Team Takeover teammate Stanford Robinson is verbally committed for 2013 as well. He said Louisville, Kansas, Texas and Ohio State are the other schools going after him the hardest.
