Hoosier Morning

The Indiana basketball team is slated for 13 national TV appearances with 14 more games on the Big Ten Network, Dustin writes.

The IU soccer team gave up its first second-half goal of the season Wednesday night, and it cost them a 1-0 loss against Notre Dame, I wrote.

Indiana running back Stephen Houston is trying to stay locked in and regain last year’s form, Dustin writes.

Can Indiana defend well enough to win a national title this basketball season? That’s the question asked in print and video by Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News.

The city of Louisville mayor has “brainstormed” the idea of having the Indiana Pacers play 10 games at the KFC Yum! Center, much to the chagrin of Louisvlle AD Tom Jurich, Joe Arnold of WHAS11.com reports.

Since we now know when the Hoosiers will be on the air, I dug up this gem about walking on air — the theme song to the ’80s TV show, “The Greatest American Hero.”

  1. Disappointing effort from DeCourcy, there. He’s capable of doing his homework, but the video was rather uninformative (and incorrect in the details, although his basic point stands: IU has to get better defensively).

Also – C’mon, IU Soccer! It looked like a pretty even match against a good team at home and all, but only one shot on frame from the Hoosiers? Eegh. That’s terrible.

Great song find from the ’80s TV series, “Greatest American Hero.” I never watched that show, but upon viewing your clip I recognized the lead actor(still wearing his curly fro as he appeared a substantial amount of years earlier in a very famous horror movie). I recently watched part of the aforementioned film on HBO a couple weeks ago. Great flick that I find almost more disturbing and in keeping with the day then when it was originally released..(the scene at the 4:20 mark of this clip contains one of the finest pieces of acting I’ve seen in a horror film). A ton of great actors launched their careers with “Carrie.” A more seasoned veteran, Piper Laurie(The Hustler), was beyond magnificent.

Alternative song choice: “The Air that I Breathe” by The Hollies…?
