Zeller named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana sophomore center Cody Zeller has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after helping the Hoosiers clinch their first outright Big Ten Championship and the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament in a road win against No. 7/8 Michigan.

Against the Wolverines, Zeller poured in 25 points and added 10 rebounds for his eighth double-double in Big Ten play this season, including scoring the final six points and altering the potential game-winning shot in the final 52 seconds. Earlier in the week, he tallied 17 points, four rebounds and three assists against Ohio State in the Hoosiers’ home finale.

On the week, Zeller averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. This week’s honor is his third of the season and he shares it with Ohio State’s Aaron Craft.
