Former Hoosier Sinclair named Tournament MVP in China

In a women’s basketball notebook that ran in today’s paper, we highlighted how well Aulani Sinclair has performed through three games of an 11-game tour of China with a U.S. All-Star team.

It just got a little more special for the former Hoosier forward.

Sinclair was named MVP of the tree-game PingXiang portion of the tour, leading the U.S. in scoring in its two most recent games. Sinclair averaged 12.3 points and three rebounds, and sank six 3-pointers en route to 22 points in a win over Hungary on Tuesday.

The United States team, made up of former Division I women’s college basketball players, is 3-0 — thanks in large part to Sinclair.

  1. “MVP Lani” has quite a nice sound to it.
Sort of like “NCAA 3-point shooting champion Lani.”
An all Indiana product, I am PROUD of Lani.
