Indiana Junior-Senior All Star scrimmages from Sullivan.

PREGAME: Here at Sullivan for tonight’s Indiana All-Star scrimmages. Bloomington South standout Lauren Whitlatch and IU recruit Maura Muensterman are Junior girls, and IU signee Jenn Anderson is a girls’ All-Star. The boys’ scrimmage features IU signees Devin Davis and Collin Hartman among the All-Stars and IU recruit James Blackmon, Jr., on the Juniors, alongside current IU recruiting targets Trevon Bluiett and JaQuan Lyle. Tech’s Trey Lyles not here tonight for the Juniors, as he is in Canada all week for a junior national team opportunity.We’ll have updates here and via Twitter at htograham.

FINAL: Indiana All-Stars 106, Juniors 95. Bryson Scott 19, VJ Beacham 14, Collin Hartman 13, Devin Davis 11. Trevon Bluiett 22 to lead Juniors.

Brebeuf’s PJ Thompson drills a loose-ball 3, pulls Juniors within 102-92 with 1:46 left. Juniors call time.

Devin Davis (11 points) and Collin Hartman (10) both in double-figures for the All-Stars. Both have had very fine games. Trevon Bluiett has been terrific all night, too, and has 18 for the Juniors.

7:57 to play: Indiana All-Stars 91, Indiana Juniors 68. Juniors are without Trey Lyles, but, still. Very impressive showing by the older guys.

Devin Davis a one-handed catch-and-jam off inbounds lob feed from Mr. Basketball Zak Irvin to make it 77-58, All-Stars, with 12:10 to play. Trevon Bluiett has 9 second-half points, but the Senior stars are pulling away.

Collin Hartman 3, then a flying 1-handed tip-in off a Devin Davis miss to make it All-Stars 68, Juniors 51, with 15:08 left.

Halftime: Indiana All-Stars 57, Junior Stars 39. All-Stars are putting on a show. Purdue recruit Basil Smotherman’s with-authority-lefty-follow-jam play of the game so far. Notre Dame recruit V.J. Beacham from New Haven leads all scorers with 12 points so far., and Purdue signee Bryson Scott has 11. IU signees Collin Hartman and Devin Davis have 5 and 4 points respectively and both have played well. Senior stars are shooting a red-hot 25 of 40 (.625) Evansville Harrison’s Ernie Duncan has a trio of 3s to lead the Juniors with 9 points. James Blackmon, Jr., a very uncharacteristic 0-for-7 for the Juniors so far. He had 27 points Friday in the Juniors win over Kentucky at Greenfield.

Blackmon has taken good shots, not forced, just not falling so far.

Great couple of possessions for IU signee Collin Hartman of Cathedral. first a great follow in the lane and then a 3 from the top of the key to make it 16-9, All-Stars at the 15:11 mark, first half.

17:00. All-Stars 11, Juniors 3. Devin Davis blocks James Blackmon, Jr. layup and gets finger in his eye. But he’s okay.



FINAL: INDIANA ALL-STAR GIRLS 84, INDIANA JUNIORS 65. Local girl Rhagen Smith’s lefty layup caps 12-0 run for the Indiana All-Stars that capped an 84-65 win over the Juniors at Sullivan. Hamilton Southeastern’s Tara Reimer, a Notre Dame recruit, had 22 points and 7 boards for the winners. She and Miss Basketball Stephanie Mavunga from Brownsburg combined to shoot 14 of 20 from the field, with Mavunga supplying 13 points and a game-high 8 boards.

Bloomington South’s Lauren Whitlatch and IU recruit Maura Muensterman of Class 2A state champion Evansville Mater Dei had 5 points apiece for the Juniors, who were led by Columbus North’s Tayler Goodall (14 points, 7 rebounds) and 13 from Iowa recruit Whitney Jennings of Logansport (13 points).

Halftime: Indiana All-Star girls lead their Junior counterparts, 41-34, after a nice half for both sides. Lots of shot-making against pretty good defensive effort. Bloomington South’s Lauren Whitlatch has 5 points at halftime on 2-of-3 shooting for the Juniors, and IU recruit Maura Muensterman has 2. Taya Reimer, the 6-3 Notre Dame signee from Hamilton Southeastern, leads all scorers with 12 and Miss Basketball Stephanie Mavunga, the 6-4 North Carolina signee from Brownsburg, has 8 points and a game-high 5 boards thus far.  Logansport’s Whitney Jennings, an Iowa recruit, hit a circus shot in the lane to beat the halftime buzzer and leads a balanced Junior attack with 7 points.
