Hill not visiting IU

Ahmed Hill, a guard from Augusta, Ga., and a long-time fringe Indiana target, had set an official visit to Bloomington for Oct. 4 and Hoosier Hysteria, but will not be making that visit according to a post on his Twitter account.

Hill, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Aquinas High School, still has Florida, Florida State, Missouri and Marquette on his list of finalists. The No. 69 player had been recruited seemingly as a backup plan at shooting guard with the Hoosiers focused on others such as Robert Johnson, James Blackmon Jr., and Isaiah Whitehead. Whitehead makes his decision on Thursday and Johnson on Friday. Blackmon is scheduled to visit IU on Oct. 4, the same day Hill was expected to visit Bloomington.

  1. Pickles come in barrels??? How am I just now learning about this?

It seems to me Whitehead is basically choosing between Indiana and close to home, which might mean his family is lobbying for him to go the NY/NJ route. Tough to say no to mama. I’m guessing we end up with Johnson– if not both– which is not a bad thing at all. Unless your trying to find playing time for six two-guards…

  2. I’ve read that mama doesn’t want him to say close to home. But the experts are saying he will stay close to home and attend St. Johns or Seton Hall which would be a total waste of talent on a mediocre and a bad team.
    S. Hurt the Juco center also cancelled his trip. It could be a coincidence, but it could mean we’re no longer interested in these two because we have filled up our plate. We may have gotten a silent verbal from GO and Whitehead and/or Johnson have informed us that they have chosen us.
    Stay tuned!
