Indiana picked sixth in unofficial Big Ten writers’ poll

Indiana was picked sixth in an informal poll of 24 of the writers who cover Big Ten basketball. Michigan State was the unanimous No. 1 choice followed by Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Purdue was picked seventh, followed by Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State and Nebraska.

The Hoosiers were picked to finish as high as fourth by three reporters and as low as eighth by one reporter. Thirteen picked them to finish sixth.
