Report: Indiana gets commitment from Florida cornerback

According to several reports, including this one from Matt Weaver at, Derrick Tindal, a cornerback from Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, Fla. The 5-foot-10, 196-pounder chose the Hoosiers over offers from Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Central Florida, Bowling Green, Marshall and Akron.

  1. More good news for IU Football! Let’s hang in and really support Coach Wilson, his staff and his players! 2014 could really be the statement year for IU Football under Coach Wilson, and it is only his fourth season with 3 recruiting classes of his players. Knowledgeable people know that you don’t change coaches until you have given them every opportunity. Purdue and PN St will suffer for a few years and IU might be able to push ahead of them long-term.

  2. Well said BeatPurdue. I’ll take this kid, considering he had offers from bowl teams. Speaking of which, we beat Bowling Green this year. I know it’s a small consolation but, great things often have small beginnings. Go Hoosiers!
