Indiana has reportedly taken on its third verbal commitment of the weekend. Josh Helmholdt of Rivals.com and Alex McCarthy of 247Sports.com both report that Tegray Scales, a linebacker from Colerain High School in Cincinnati has committed to Indiana. The three-star recruit and 6-foot, 206-pounder was also strongly considering Minnesota and had previous offers from Boston College, Illinois, Oklahoma and Wisconsin among others.

  1. B1G welcome Tegray! Awesome to see IU becoming a destination football program rather than a “safety” program. Can’t wait ’til Fall 2014 – just win baby!!

  2. IU is presently ranked 6th of the 14 B1G teams in recruiting for 2014. They have 4 more rides to fill, 5 if they should lose Tindal.

  3. I’m trying to determine if IU has ever signed a player with offers from so many powerful programs. We beat out Wisconsin, Oklahoma, BC and MN for this young man? Wow, that’s impressive, especially since he’s a defensive player.
