Indiana falls to Wisconsin after holding 10-point lead at halftime

MADISON, Wis. — Sophomore forward Sam Dekker scored 16 points to lead five Wisconsin players in double figures in the No 14 Badgers’ 69-58 win over Indiana in front of 17,249 at the Kohl Center.

Indiana falls to 15-12 overall, 5-9 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin improves to 23-5, 10-5.

Wisconsin junior guard Traevon Jackson scored 14 points, senior guard Ben Brust had 10, redshirt junior guard Josh Gasser scored 11 and center Frank Kaminsky had 10. After making just seven of 27 field goals in the first half (25.9 percent), the Badgers shot 61.9 percent (13-for-21) in the second frame to outscore Indiana 50-29 after the break.

IU sophomore guard Yogi Ferrell scored 24 points to lead Indiana and freshman forward Noah Vonleh added 18, but the Hoosiers got a total of 16 points from the rest of the roster. Senior forward Will Sheehey scored Indiana’s first seven points, but didn’t score in the last 37 minutes of the game.
