Halstead out for season with ACL tear

Indiana closer Ryan Halstead is out for the season with an ACL tear, the Hoosiers learned Friday morning. Halstead suffered the injury in Wednesday’s game against Xavier. Doctor’s expect a full recovery.

Halstead is Indiana’s all-time leader in saves. He was taken by the Minnesota Twins late in last year’s Major League Baseball draft but opted to stick around for his senior year. He would be eligible for a medical redshirt if he is not drafted this season.
