Indiana downs Louisville 6-2

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Indiana catcher Kyle Schwarber reached base five times, scored three runs and drove in two more with a double to lead No. 17 Indiana to a 6-2 win over No. 20 Louisville at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Indiana pitcher Joey DeNato allowed just one unearned run in seven innings, lowering his ERA to 0.47 in his first three starts and running his record to 3-0. IU first baseman Sam Travis, designated hitter Scott Donley and left fielder Craig Dedelow each drove in runs in the win. Right-hander Scott Effross pitched two innings to close out the game. Indiana improves to 4-5.
