Western Kentucky at Indiana, 6:05 p.m.

Bottom 10th: Indiana center fielder Tim O’Conner sliced a double down the right field line to bring in Will Nolden with two outs to give Indiana a 1-0 win over Western Kentucky.

Top 10th: An error by Chad Clark allowed Clint Hardy to reach. He took second base on a wild pitch and moved to third on a bunt, but Scott Effross induced a groundout to second base with the infield drawn in to keep Hardy at third and got a fly out to end the inning. Still scoreless.

Bottom 9th: Kyle Schwarber opened the ninth by driving a 3-1 pitch deep to the right center field gap but it fell just a few feet short of being a walk-off home run. It was a double, however, and broke up Ryan Thurston’s no-hitter and sent him out of the game. Schwarber ended up stranded at third however, after WKU relievers retired Sam Travis, Scott Donley and Dustin DeMuth. Scoreless headed to the 10th.

Top 9th: Jake Kelzer retired three straight hitters and Indiana will head into the bottom of the ninth with zero hits, but also a 0-0 tie.

Bottom 8th: Ryan Thurston retired Indiana 1-2-3 in the eighth. He still hasn’t given up a hit through eight.

Top 8th: Jake Kelzer struck out two batters in a 1-2-3 inning. Still scoreless.

Bottom 7th: Thurston retired the side 1-2-3. Still no hits for Indiana. Still a scoreless game.

Top 7th: Western Kentucky center fielder David Simmons doubled to open the seventh and Clint Hardy singled to right, but Will Nolden threw out Simmons trying to score. Thomas Belcher came out after throwing two strikes to the next batter, but Jake Kelzer got the next two batters out to end the inning.

Bottom 6th: Tim O’Conner and Sam Travis were both hit by pitches, but both were stranded and Ryan Thurston still hasn’t given up a hit. Scoreless through six.

Top 6th: After five scoreless by Brian Korte, Thomas Belcher got a 1-2-3 inning in the sixth. Still scoreless.

Bottom 5th: Ryan Thurston still hasn’t given up a hit. Dustin DeMuth walked to start the inning, Brad Hartong bunted him to second and Will Nolden grounded to the pitcher and sent him to third but Chad Clark struck out to end the inning. Still scoreless.

Top 5th: WKU’s Regan Flaherty managed a two-out bloop single, but otherwise Brian Korte cruised. Game still scoreless.

Bottom 4th: Kyle Schwarber was hit by a pitch and picked off, and Ryan Thurston retired the next two batters. Still scoreless through four.

Top 4th: Brian Korte cruised through a 1-2-3 fourth inning. He’s through four scoreless with 54 pitches. Game tied at zero still.

Bottom 3rd: Indiana still doesn’t have a hit through three innings. Chad Clark and Tim O’Conner both struck out. Still scoreless through three.

Top 3rd: Brian Korte gave up a double to WKU right fielder Ryan Flaherty and a walk to second baseman Scott Wilcox, but he got the next two batters to ground out to short to end the inning, stranding runners on second and third. Still scoreless.

Bottom 2nd: Will Nolden drew a two-out walk but was picked off to end the second. Still scoreless.

Top 2nd: Western Kentucky’s Clint Hardy drew a one-out walk, but overslid the bag on a steal and was tagged out. Brian Korte retired the next hitter and faced the minimum in the second inning. Still scoreless.

Bottom 1st: Sam Travis reached on an error in the first, but Indiana otherwise went down in order. Scoreless through one.

Top 1st: Brian Korte gave up a pair of first-inning singles, but got through it otherwise unscathed.
