According to Indiana’s game notes for Saturday’s 2 p.m. Big Ten Tournament game against Michigan State, the Hoosiers will pitch sophomore right-hander Evan Bell against the Spartans.

Bell is 2-1 with a 3.29 earned run average but has not started a game this season. The 6-foot-9, 195-pounder  has 10 appearances and 11 strikeouts in 13 2/3 innings. He got one start last year when he went 1-0 with a 3.41 earned run average and 17 strikeouts in 29 innings.

Senior left-hander Brian Korte, the Hoosiers usually No. 3 starter, is being held out of the game for what are as of yet undisclosed reasons. Korte is 3-0 with a 2.11 ERA.
