Wilson to appear on ESPN on July 31

From IU Sports Info:

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana head football coach Kevin Wilson and the Big Ten football coaches will visit ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., headquarters July 30-31, to take part in ESPN’s annual mid-summer college football coaches’ “car wash” – in which guests appear across multiple programs and platforms over one day.

Wilson will join Randy Edsall (Maryland), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa), Pat Fitzgerald (Northwestern), Brady Hoke (Michigan), Urban Meyer (Ohio State) and Bo Pelini (Nebraska) at the ESPN Compound on July 31.

The schedules for the Big Ten coaches will include a mixture of interviews with more than 25 different shows and writers across ESPN’s television, radio and digital media platforms. Outlets may include College Football Live, SportsCenter, First Take, SportsNation, Highly Questionable, Numbers Never Lie and E:60 on television and ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning, SVP & Russillo, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Sedano & Stink, The Freddie Coleman Show, The Dan LeBartard Show and College GameDay Radio.

The coaches will also be interviewed by ESPN.com writers Travis Haney, Ivan Maisel and Brett McMurphy; appear on a variety of podcasts; participate in chats; and more.

  1. Dustin or Jeremy:

Will this game be broadcasted on the Watch ESPN platform?

It’s nice indeed to see Wilson on a major outlet like ESPN. Shows you Hoosier Football is going places. This could be a real recruiting tool. If Lynch was on ESPN, I don’t remember it. Mark my word. If we have. Winning season this year, the recruiting floodgates will really open.

  2. WR Kevin Davis has left the IU FB program. His brother Jordan Wallace left IU some time ago and landed at Indiana State.

  3. Ben, yes, early 2014 and is enrolled at ISU. I expect KD is destined for a Terre Haute address also as the family is close. They both desire major playing time and will get it with Sycamores. As I understand it they are good people.

  4. Thanks guys. I’ll be looking out for Jordan when we play ISU. Hopefully all works out for the best for the respective schools and students.

  5. Thanks for the Ewald update HC. It’s great to see Mitch sign a pro contract. He’s a very talented ball player. I’d love to see him have Stoyanovich-type success in the NFL. Go Hoosiers!
