Danielle Williams is Indiana’s 2nd women’s commit for 2015 #iuwbb

Indiana women’s basketball coach Teri Moren picked up her second commitment for the 2015 class this week, taking a verbal from Texas forward Danielle Williams.

Williams, a 6-foot-4 center from North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas, was one of six Class 5A all-district selections made by the Dallas Morning News as a junior.

There’s not a whole lot out there on Williams, who was ranked as a three-star recruit by ESPN’s HoopGurlz, but we have calls in to both her high school and AAU coaches.

Williams joins Kym Royster, a 6-foot-2 Ohio forward, in IU’s 2015 class.

  1. It’s good to see our coaching staff adding much needed size to next year’s team. Lack of size will be the Achilles heel for this year! Although coach Moren has stated there will be a greater emphasis on defense this year. If this is true, perhaps this will make us highly competitive for the conference season? With the size of teams in our conference, us being better defensively may be the only answer? Good to see coach Moren and her staff working hard on the recruiting trail. Go Hoosiers!
