Former Hoosier Nouanesengsy injured in fire

According to a report from the Portsmouth (Ohio) Daily Times, former Indiana University women’s soccer player Lisa Nouanesengsy was injured in an apartment fire on Friday morning. The report says Nouanesengsy suffered “extensive burns to her hands and legs.”

Nouanesengsy was second team All-Big Ten as a senior for the Hoosiers last season. She finished her career third in goals scored and fifth in points all-time in IU women’s soccer history.

The Hoosiers tweeted a dedication of Saturday night’s game at Purdue to Nouanesengsy, an occupational therapy student Shawnee State University, then went out and beat the Boilermakers, 1-0.
