Colts sign former IU tackle Andrew McDonald #iufb

The Indianapolis Colts added some local flavor to its roster on Tuesday, announcing the signing of former Hoosier left tackle Andrew McDonald.

McDonald played in two games for Seattle this season before being placed on the Seahawks practice squad on Nov. 22. He was released Friday.

The Miami Dolphins originally signed McDonald as an undrafted free agent in May 2012, and he spent time with Carolina last season.

McDonald started 25 of the 36 games he played at Indiana, including the last 23 at left tackle. The Warren Central grad is joined on the Colts roster by Hamilton Southeastern’s Joe Reitz.

In a corresponding move, Indianapolis waived tight end Weslye Saunders.
