Blackmon named finalist for Jerry West Award #iubb

Indiana freshman James Blackmon Jr. is a finalist for the 2015 Jerry West Award, given annually to the nation’s top shooting guard.

At 16.2 points per game, Blackmon is second in scoring among Big Ten freshmen and is fifth nationally in his class. He has nine 20-point games this season and is second at Indiana with 5.4 rebounds per game.

In his most recent game, Blackmon scored 24 points, grabbed seven boards and tied his career high with six 3-pointers in Sunday’s win over Minnesota.
